When you want to brighten your smile, there’s nothing more frustrating than buying a teeth whitening kit that fails to produce results. You spent money hoping to improve your appearance but got nothing in return. The staff at Oak Brook Smiles understands this, which is why we are pleased to offer teeth whitening that works. You may be a good candidate for the procedure if your teeth are stained brown or yellow or the enamel on your teeth appears to be breaking down.

Professional Teeth Whitening at Oak Brook Smiles

To ensure that we provide you with teeth whitening that works, Dr. Haque first prepares customized trays to fit the shape of your mouth. He does this by taking an impression of your teeth and jaws during your first appointment and forwarding the results to our laboratory. When the trays come back, you come in for a second appointment to make sure that your specialized whitening trays fit securely in your mouth. Dr. Haque then provides you with a teeth whitening kit.

When you get home with the kit, plan to fill each tray with whitening bleach and wearing them for at least 30 minutes two times each day. If you prefer not to wear them during the day, you may wear the bleaching trays to bed for several consecutive nights for similar results. Any discomfort should be minimal and disappear after your mouth has adjusted to the trays.

Long-Lasting Cosmetic Improvement

Teeth whitening provided by Oak Brook Smiles can improve the shade of your teeth by up to 10 times. We recommend that you repeat the procedure every six months to keep your appearance consistent. It’s also important to limit your consumption of coffee, quit smoking, and avoid foods such as blueberries that may cause dark staining. Some medications can also cause staining, so be certain you understand all potential side effects before starting on a new drug.

Once you’ve completed your first teeth whitening procedure, you will be amazed at the level of confidence you feel from having a bright, beautiful smile. Please contact us to schedule an appointment or with any additional questions you have about teeth whitening.
